Our Thanks

The Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities would like to thank all of our remarkable participants who shared their time, talents and stories.

Through these stories and photographs of Georgians with disabilities, we are able to tell the stories of everyday people in communities across the state who are creating and building pathways to financial security, community living and self-determination.

Telling Our Stories is produced by the Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities, which was established by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (PL 106-402) to promote interdependence, contribution, self-determination, integration and inclusion into the community for citizens with developmental disabilities. The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age or disability in employment or the provision of services.
